I have to do exams to work in Australia or New Zealand?
Australia
You
will be eligible for temporary registration as a doctor WITHOUT
sitting the Australian Medical Council (AMC) exam for up to 4
years (5 years in some states) - If you want to work beyond this
period or stay permanently, then you will have to sit the AMC
examination OR complete a specialist training programme.
New
Zealand
You
will be eligible for medical registration and be exempt from
sitting the New Zealand Registration Examination (NZREX) if you
fall in to one of the following categories:

You
have a Primary Medical Degree from New Zealand, Australia,
UK or Ireland

You
have a Specialist Qualification recognised by the
Medical Council of New Zealand as being eligible for
specialist registration

You
have a medical degree (from a WHO recognised school) and
have worked for 3 out for the last 4 years in one of the
following comparable health systems:

America (Canada, USA)

Europe (France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria,
Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain)

Scandinavia
(Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland)
